The Storm
Today started out as a happy day,
It was hopeful and it was gay,
So I took a walk in a forest of trees;
It was sunny out with a quiet breeze.
But as I walked some more,
The weather became unsure.
And as the sun turned to cloud,
The thunder grew really loud.
There were bolts of lightning everywhere,
I dodged them here, I dodged them there.
The breeze turned to wind in one short burst,
But the storm was not yet at its worst.
When the rain came it really poured,
I then realized that my life was unsure.
So I ran and ran and rain again,
Until I came to this dead end.
The dead end is where I am now,
For there’s no life and death’s my vow.
Should I jump or should I stay?
Should I die from this evil day?
I don’t know what caused this mess.
It was a waste of time like all the rest.
The day was bad, ‘twas far from warm,
All because of this angered storm.
