I’ve thought it’s a bit like a huge mountain of sand
That needs work and attention to dig, turn over and process
Putting it off is fine, but it’ll sit there until you’re ready to put spade back in hand
And slowly sift and consider all the grains waiting to be addressed
For waiting is not a problem for those that have passed
The uncomfortable truth is that you’ll never \'get over it\', and can’t rush it through
You’ll at best reach a peace as the sand steadily empties in your own hourglass
And a better understanding of the loved ones that you knew
