Colors

My favorite color.

The one that I always want to wear.

I show the world my passions.

But no one cares.

Put it back on the shelf.

Always been my story.

I want to open my heart.

Show all the cracks.

I’m tired of apologizing.

I’ve given enough of me.

To others that didn’t deserve it.

And it’s not fair to you.

And it’s not fair to me.

Our purest hearts can be lost.

Covered in the mud.

A lost piece of my history.

Tangled in the vines.

But it can be found again.

Maybe I wasn’t ready.

The masks were just for your comfort.

But now I think I’m brave enough.

No longer ashamed to be honest.

Thank you for the push.

To bring my color to the world.

For that I’m eternally grateful.

Maybe someone will look up.
