Imagine looking in the eyes of your beloved
Swooned and moved like no other
With eyes that seem almost bottomless
Almost like staring into the darkness
This feeling then consumes you
Holds, and then pursues true
You begin to lose all sorts of rationality
Envisioning all of the things those eyes could make you do
At first you begin to fear
Praying that no one comes near
Scared of the things you’ve found yourself capable of
Wishing, there is no devil’s knock
But by the cruel twist known as fate
You have found yourself engulfed by hate
Funny enough your anger is directed at the mind
The true you, that you’re scared to find
Engrossed by what is known as comfort
The smile comes out to avoid hurt
You want to explore without pain
See the world in all its’ vain
Due to this contest known as life
We are forced to live and thrown to die
After the mind has been conditioned by war
The instinct for survival comes ashore
We then begin to bury our true nature
Scared that the new connections we make will hate us
We tell ourselves lies, to lure in false comfort
All to hold it by the neck and cut it wide open
Only when one’s foul nature is truly satisfied
Then and only then the happy devil smiles
