A sudden hum, a darting threat,
My open door, your chance you met.
From outside in, a tiny dread,
A nasty critter, in my head.
For hours, I chased, with effort grim,
You danced and zoomed from limb to limb.
So hard to catch, so quick, so slight,
You filled my home with weary fight.
You spun and zipped, a buzzing stress,
A tiny torment, nothing less.
My patience strained, my temper thin,
But no, I vowed, you would not win!
At last, a moment, swift and true,
The outside called, you finally flew.
Go on, you pest, with wings so slight,
Fly, nasty critter, out of my sight!
