ONE FAITH, MANY CULTURES

We are called to the Cross, our faith,
Though life presents different fates,
Our culture speaks of our identities,
Even in the midst of our oddities.

On the Cross lies our redemption,
Sin our daily consumption,
Though we are faithful sinners,
Repentance the gate fee to the inners.

Though trials and tribulations may abound,
Temptations, test of faith, will rebrand,
Our faces may differ,
So our sins make us suffer.

On this auspicious Cultural Sunday,
We urge Wale, Musa, Emeka and Monday,
To love one another,
Without love, we are bound to fight each other.

In the church comes different cultures;
Igbo, Jukun, Tiv, Yoruba, Idoma, not vultures,
In one Baptism, we are called to light,
In Christ Jesus our hope is delight.

Musical drums will echo loud,
And our voices will sing aloud,
Jesus the reason for the season,
In Him, we will rejoice in season.
