The good idea

The good idea tugs at you like standing in a strong tide

To just do it, try it, shape it. To get it done

The possibility sits there gleaming, tantalising out in the sun

Restless visions of success, like horses in harness, fill your eyes

And as you sit contemplating the cost and the time

And the naysayer’s critique and doubt, and that it all could fail

Your gut says it’s a good one, that common sense needs to prevail

Your ship must change tack, set a new sail. Course a new line

The ball lies firmly in your court, the dice rests in your hand

Where there\'s a will there\'s a way, and the way lies in taking the pill

Of the good idea. The thrill. If you don’t go you\'ll never know the glory over the hill

Now take the clay to mould. Be bold.  Make your imprints in the sand
