Never did I serve.
Yet I sit where I can best observe.
Entrances in view back to the wall.
Understand no training at all.
When In youth I thought myself invincible threw caution to the wind.
Older now with discretion my attention I spend.
I admire the happy go lucky until they not.
Just don’t want attention not sought.
I’m not sure from where this mental state is born.
Perhaps lost street knowledge from the days I scorn.
A fear I have of a mind intact when the body has given up on its pact.
When it is time rent a boat with a bar. Sail out deep enough fairly far.
Prop me in the corner, toast and roast me with stories and tall tales then weight me and sink me to feed the fishes and rest with the whales.
