Empty Words

Your words a void in the black of space,

Time wastes it’s energy and darkness has a face.

Deafening ears ring righteous through,

Your seeds in my mind surely intrudes.

If I hear a proud calling bird, singing a sweet song,

I’ll listen through the night, so dark, so long.

When pretty lights assume the sky,

Our minds will mingle, my thoughts subside.

At dawn I’ll sit and realize,

Your words, at my surprise.

Will echo through my two pink ears

As I softly sit and ponder.

And wait for my demise in the blackness of the heavens skies,

until my golden years of yonder.
