A Message in a Bottle

You speak of GOD!, whose God?, Yours!, or theirs,
or those who locked Him down good?
The human race can’t even decide
on the definition of God.
Each one thinks, theirs the real deal.
Theirs the one who speaks for all humanity,
and to that end, are willing to unashamedly
sacrifice their fellow beings.
You think God’s out there,
out yonder, out of reach.
You ignorant preachers,
devourers of souls,
not only are you lost, you have
also commodified the idea of God.
God is not a being, it’s an ideal.
When that ideal becomes an integral part of you,
the physical self becomes transitional.
In the end you stand alone,
like the God you revere.
