I have stood through storms and sun,
Roots curled deep where silence runs.
Clouds come and go with shifting grace,
Some weep, some vanish without a trace.
I do not chase the winds away,
Nor mourn the fleeting light of day.
I’ve loved a woman through years and shade—
Through every bloom, through every fade.
The world may wander, bend, and break,
But not all hearts are meant to quake.
Some love is quiet, old and wide,
A tree whose truth the winds confide.
In all their drift, the clouds have shown
That staying still is how I’ve grown.
