I saw a shooting star that night,
It moved so fast, so full of light.
I never saw one in the sky,
But always wished as time went by.
The universe had heard my voice,
And seeing it, I felt such joy.
I smiled and looked, my heart was glad,
But deep inside, I still felt sad.
I thought I’d wish, just like they say,
But all my thoughts had gone away.
I stood there quiet, couldn’t speak,
No wish, no words, just feeling weak.
The star was bright, it shone so clear,
And made my mind just disappear.
Maybe it’s small for some to see,
But that moment was big for me.
I find some magic in small things,
Like stars and winds and birds with wings.
I don’t know why I feel so much,
But I love that I’m soft to touch.
I think my heart is pure and true,
And I love seeing life this new.
That star felt like a gift, a sign
A little spark, a light, divine.
I hope to see more stars again,
Not from rooftops after rain.
But from a hilltop, high and wide,
With open heart and open sky.
