A DIRGE TO PAPA SUNDAY
A tree you were!
A mighty one at that
With so many branches holding on to you
And many more looking up to you.
You fell so quickly!
What should happen to the branches?
Can they survive without you?
Is there an alternative to their survival?
Please do tell us!
Are they going to the other side with you?
If not, tell us PAPA!
When many wanted your shade!
Many more were on a high speed
Just to be sheltered by you
You fell so quickly!
Alas!
A mighty tree has fallen!
Things have fallen apart!
Will the centre still hold?
Will life ever be the same again?
You fell so quickly PAPA!
Will the centre still hold?
Have pity on my poor mother!
Tears have become her companion
Sorrow, her best friend!
Take pity on her!
Oceans call her tears Queen Mother
Because of how much she had cried
And still crying….
The tears she has shed is far more
Much more than the five oceans put together
Take pity on her PAPA!
Her pillow is drenched with tears
Her eyes drip out blood!
Tears have become her companion!
Sorrow, her best friend!
Our joy comes as this:
A better place you are now!
A place of illumination!
A place of Absolute liberty!
A place where the name ‘sorrow’ is an alien!
Where pain never exists!
Where bitterness is an outcast!
Where death never comes!
How beautiful it is!
What a beautiful place to be!
Enjoy your stay there PAPA!
Enjoy the life and beauty of ETERNITY!
