The Garden

As I wander in the garden, the moon blinks its shine,

The light illuminates, as I sip on red wine.

Remembering times of past.

When all was easy, fortunes cast.

The roses bloom, a faintly red.

In their stillness of the garden bed.

The bees they swirl, with wings a buzz.

Eternal nectar, just because.

And the black, black sky,

Approaches like a shadow flies.

Each reflection, like a copy cat,

A silhouette of ravens cast.

For in the night, the creatures bite,

And hide in spaces without light,

Each step, closer ever more.

Centuries in a world implored.

Hearts of blood, beating pure.

I’ll walk and walk in my garden lore.

Under the dim night sky therof,

My soul ignites, my hearts in love.
