I imagined that I would be able to fly,
I imagined that I would live to never die.
Pretended to fly in spaceships around the sun,
no matter how hot it got the ship would still run.
I was young and I could dream,
before learning the meaning of different screams.
Those days things were hidden,
places and other things forbidden.
When the shadows by parents were pushed out,
behind closed doors they would shout.
Now I look back to when I knew less,
with no answers and just a guess.
Missing the days thinking care free,
everything new to the eyes I could see.
But I am old now and know what I\'ve got,
understanding more of that memory spot.
The good old days we all once had,
my spaceship was awesome, it was rad.
