I was walking along,
in a blue shirt, with a fly in my pocket,
there was no coffee shop,
yet I was sipping coffee.
God walked beside me,
hair a mess, bags under his eyes.
He said, \"I don\'t believe in my Creator.\"
I replied, \"Me neither!\"
We both burst out laughing—
we were members of the same club,
called the \'Agnostic Alliance.\'
A stray dog came up and said,
\"Didn\'t you get an invitation to God\'s birthday?\"
I said, \"God has no birthday.
He\'s not even sure he was born.\"
A cloud in the sky then,
looking just like God.
It looked down and said,
\"You are my creation.\"
I said, \"If you\'re God,
then we are God\'s doubt\".
The coffee cup went empty,
there was no shop,
but I paid the bill.
God said, \"I have no money.\"
I said, \"I have no faith either.\"
