A Quiet Love By Richard Martin 448
She never chased the world’s acclaim,
No thirst for parties, praise, or fame.
She walked beside me, day by day
At work, at rest, at earnest play.
No smoke, no drink, no idle talk,
She’d rather join me on a quiet walk.
No shopping sprees or TV shows,
Just a quiet beauty like a winter\'s snow.
So kind and gentle, like a kitten’s purr,
We were happy with the way things were
No need for noise, no need for show
She gave her love in a quiet glow
She didn’t curse, she didn’t boast,
But gave me what I needed most.
For no reason, she’d hold me tight
A love that made everything alright.
Though time has pulled our paths apart,
She still lives quietly in my heart.
The love we had, I feel today
Still walking with me, in her Quiet way
