Darkness and night

‎Darkness and night, two terms often blurred,‎

Yet distinct in meaning, like shadows and words.

Night is the time, when sun\'s light does fade,

A natural cycle, a world in shade.

A time for rest, for dreams to unfold,

‎A period of calm, young and old.

‎Darkness, however, is a state of mind,

A feeling of hopelessness, left behind.

‎A void of light, a absence of peace,

‎A sense of fear, a world to cease.

Night can be beautiful, with stars so bright,

‎A canopy of light, in all its might.

‎Darkness, on the other hand, is cold and grim,‎

A feeling of isolation, a heart in whim.

So let us embrace the night\'s gentle hush,

And shun the darkness, with all its rush.
