SINK YOUR TEETH IN

Sleep with one eye open,

you know that I’ve been chosen,

to hold up the mirror,

so you can see clearer,

you are the problem;

spilling all your fears,

blood leaking from your ears,

your screams, no-one hears,

lend me your veneers

I sneer;

Sinking my teeth in,

to salty flesh,

your bitterness is best served cold,

on this bless-ed day,

more pepper, I say

whether we wither,

or demonise the other,

we are all children,

some unbeknownst to our mothers,

what did she teach you, if not respect?

what did she show you, but her own regrets?
