It’s funny, watch two adjacent wasp nest of the same species.
If a wasp from another nest wanders near, hostilities ensue.
My uncle old and wise would use a spade shovel scoop one fire ant mound to another and they would fight.
Same species yet without chemicals they performed what he desired. If it didn’t work he did it again.
Once in my youth myself and bestie fed jelly to a yellow jacket nest with little result until one from another hive arrived, war ensued what great sport!
Just musing all these wars amongst the same species.
Tribal they all were.
Yet we fancy us humanity so above these insects.
Times like these I wonder who has the shovel and jelly?
As haughty as we are but maybe we are but insects.
