Friendship

We need to Stop the verbal abuse!

A poison tongue, a spoken sting,
Verbal abuse, its harsh echoes ring.
It needs to stop, this venomous art,
Before it shatters the most fragile heart.
I care not who you are, what title you claim,
Therapist, doctor, friend, igniting the flame.
Husband, wife, or child, so dear or so near,
The verbal abuse, it must vanish from here.
No bond, no profession, no role can exempt,
From the damage you sow, the spirits you tempt.
You\'re making people sick with every harsh sound,
A constant deluge, where no peace can be found.
Negative comments, a relentless attack,
No one needs to hear them, there\'s no turning back.
To continually dredge up the past, dark and old,
To wound with a memory, a story retold.
It wears down the spirit, it ravages the mind,
Leaving resilience broken, and hope left behind.
No one should be judged, for their journey or plight,
Yet some find their pleasure in dimming the light.
To scrutinize, to label, to pick and to scorn,
This constant assessment, leaves others forlorn.
This ceaseless critique, this tearing apart,
It needs to stop now, from every cold heart.
And me, myself – I draw a clear line,
I walk away now, this choice is all mine.
I\'m done with the torment, the blame, and the fight,
Stepping into the silence, and claiming my light.
No longer a target, beneath your harsh sun,
My healing begins – I declare myself done.
