OLD GUITAR

The old man
With old guitar
Both with wrinkles
A street corner star
Tapping feet
Worn out shoes
Huffs and puffs
Playing tunes.

Flat cap on ground
A few given coins
Handkerchief in pocket
The same old sounds
His nodding head
In a world his own
A familiar sight
In a dirty town.

Police appear
And move him on
Unsympathetic
To all hes done
The crowd disperses
To their routine
Back to shopping
A familiar scene.
