Incredibly Ordinary People

I will have the kind of love that has been talked about since the beginning of time. I refuse to settle for mundane.

I will have the kind of love that when it’s seen by Father Time, he smiles and nods his head with contentment because we’ve found each other again. As we always do. He’ll let out a chuckle with a “here we go again” because he knows the story so well.

We find each other, one falls faster than the other and makes an absolute fool out of herself trying to get the other to see, but she doesn’t. She tries to fight it while the one who falls faster remains patient.

After all, we’ve loved each other since we were stardust.

And then one day it just clicks for the woman who takes her time. Some say she’s always late, but time is man-made. And even the father of it knows, she’s just on her time. And with her, Father Time always gives us pauses. The moments spent in her eyes and arms, he makes them just a little longer. (He’s secretly a hopeless romantic too)

I will have the kind of love that even Mother Nature can’t help but share her excitement for. She’ll share her joy and spread the warmth from our love and the love that has been shared with us through radiant sunlight. She’ll know just when to keep us inside cozied up by making it just a little too cold. She’ll laugh too when I end up with feet on my back because I’m always so warm and my woman’s feet are freezing. Shes our biggest fan and she helps create her favorite love story time and time again.

She’ll help us learn our way through storms and show us how these storms can help things bloom. She’ll show us some things only last for seasons while others come back time and time again. She’ll show how important our roots are and how necessary our growth is. Constantly helping us write our story by trying to show us the way. She’ll help us romanticize the smallest things and appreciate all that his life has to offer. (She loves to watch us dance in the rain)

I will have the kind of love that we as humans think only gods and goddesses have truly witnessed. The kind we think only they can hold. It will be the kind of love that turns heads because it is felt before it is seen. When we’re together it will be as if the air around us has never been more pure, but also never more intoxicating. Everyone will want to breathe us in. To bathe in the energy we share.

They won’t envy our love, no.

But it will wake them up.

And they will yearn for theirs.

We will have the kind of love that inspires poets, and artists, and other

incredible,

ordinary people

just like us to fall in love with life and each other again.
