A requiem
For days now lost
Scribbled verses
Count the cost
In each line
A sweet rainbow
That danced its dance
Now ends the show.
Creeping thoughts
Avenues unknown
The opera with
A baritone
Bar room fights
Glasses fly
The scar you carried
Below your eye.
Now to dirt
You travel light
The awakening moon
Lights your flight
Be it upwards or down
Or inbetween
Those who met you
Knew you had been.
