The Brave Leader

Water-

- Wherein the many colored fish lie-

- a place in which the stripes and gills of many-

Can be observed and seen from up high-

I see the deer stride across it earnestly-

A quiet contemplation on her delicate face-

A strategiser who knows the abundant nature of uneven colors-

- and can forebode when they will turn to prey in a suspenseful chase-

Being an oracle is her purpose as she spies on others from the surface-

 

When the wolf showed up to bare its teeth-

All it found was a clever force underneath-

A masked exterior to ensure no one knew her plans-

She dodged the hunter\'s arrow by camouflaging in the forest green that exudes beauty for all it\'s wild clans-

A protector from disharmony, the deer became-

And within a couple weeks, she was renowned by

Her famous name. 

 

On one day she saw an owl flit across the trees- 

She settled down to wait for the end of the violent breeze-

The deer saw her and offered her a hoof, in the draining routine exhaustion of a frequent flight, she saw the deer on the inside-

And took her hoof and was pulled onto her back-

And off they went- a pleasant ride. For an owl whose heart was rot from life-

And anytime she couldn\'t find the will to fly-

The deer appeared to show her the bravery of her kind-

Three tracks

To follow when turned icy blue from the bitter wind that surfaces when the changing climate reduces her to cracks-

 

On the fourth ride a fox came running out between the bushes-

A silly cunning creature-

Who was blind from poison ivy nightly-

- it pushes- against a preature-

The deer was a herbal healer. The queen in her profession-

And so tucked the fox near her chest and whispered -

A confession-

\"Sometimss the culprit to our Blindness isn\'t clear.\"

- \"Look inside yourself and see. And then blind you will no longer be.\"

 

With time the fox could see the lessons that the deer taught him to be-

And he joined the owl on the deer\'s back-

Amongst the rides that took place once each December-

The deer took the two in and gave them hope-

In a fish filled pond of appearances in an inner downwards slope-

So the two could remember-

That a fight in a forest land is endless-

But they can hold themselves upright and know-

The deer will never ever leave them alone.
