The Vicar went to the church
To carry out the service,
As ever he rode his bike
And left it outside the church.
He preached his sermon,
Sang the hymns,
And the service was finished.
He greeted all his parishioners,
Greeted them as they left the church.
All was over so he went to his bike,
It was not there,
He just could not find it,
He asked all,
And nobody knew.
He then thought
I know, I’ll write a sermon,
A sermon based on the ten commandments.
He asked his curate to watch out,
Watch the parishioners
When he said “You shall not steal”.
After the service the curate came to the vicar
And said he saw nobody react it,
To “You shall not steal”
But when you came to the seventh commandment
You shall “You shall not commit adultery”
I then remembered,
Remembered where I left your bike.
