Another day in my life is here,
Another of the many days I have lived,
And each of those days was special
As I saw them to the end.
Such a good life has been mine,
Good times with wonderful friends,
A life filled with love and joy,
A working life that never failed,
And into retirement with wonder.
I look back on my long life
And the thought comes to me
That I have been so lucky,
So lucky to still be rising,
After so many years on this earth.
Such a lucky boy.
