I, Your Pole Star

Poem : I , Your Pole Star

I know you have got

an affinity for the moon,

But why can\'t you see

I brighten your sky too.

Moon has different phases

sometimes full, others half,

But consider me, I am

as constant as pole star.

I know Luna shines too bright,

It\'s visible easily in your sight.

But don\'t I even try

to shimmer your night sky ?

You marvel at a fleeting grace,

While I bear, being unseen, yet unwavering,

Till the moon wanes down to none,

And disappears from the sky\'s face.

And that day I usually hope,

You would turn to the stars\' maze.

But you never come to wander, to see the sight ,

Knowing your cherished light is gone for the night.

Won\'t you tell me, dear wanderer,

When Moon hides behind its veil,

Would you ever seek the stars ?

Or, lose yourself in the dark again ?

Don\'t be astounded,

Don\'t waste me in vain,

I will be always there,

Guiding your day, lighting your way.
