Gold and black heels,
Shining with elegance
And protection.
Hands grab the shoes,
I swiftly reclaim them.
I will not let Someone take my light.
My confidence.
My nurturing right.
Someone became angry,
So they chase me.
Running out of fear,
Nothing in my mind.
Slowly,
Surely,
I begin to feel playful.
I lead the wild goose chase,
Running here,
Running there.
A laugh escapes my lips -
I\'m enjoying this all too much.
With a smile,
As big as a child\'s,
I run away from Someone.
Nothing in my mind,
As I run into a room.
Thick curtains hanging,
I hide behind them.
Someone runs into the room,
Looking around frantically.
They\'re angry
and frustrated.
My grin grows bigger.
Moving further in the curtains,
Someone angrily moves
The curtains back,
Searching for me.
Someone knows I\'m here.
A voice in the back of
My mind says, \"Magic.\"
I willed myself invisible.
Someone drew back the curtains,
I look dead at Someone.
Someone looks at me.
Someone saw nothing,
Someone became upset.
I kept silent,
Grinning ear to ear.
It worked!
Feeling like I\'ll drop my cover,
My grin became smaller
As I concentrate on being invisible.
