Paul Gerard Reed

Pushover

\'A pushover\' I heard you say

We\'ll take him in a day

\'We\'ll drown him in his fears\'

But it\'s been nearly twenty five years;

Even today you are still trying

To make me think I\'m dying

Keep a-knocking on my door

To see if I can take some more;

You\'ve spent all this time

Carrying out your crime

But you found in me

A most formidable enemy;

There you stand, apologetic

You really are pathetic

I bet you wish you\'d never begun

You should have turned tail and run;

\'Cos you would never have got beat

You could have avoided defeat

You could have been free

If you hadn\'t set eyes on me.
