Henry and Taliah have had quite the day! Learning much about each other after the dreaded pancakes! Henry is a Veteran who served early on in his life. Taliah is more than appreciative of this man’s dedication and sacrifice. A sacrifice she imagines comes with more than she could ever understand. Thank you never seems like it’s enough; to give back; she does the best she can. Henry too has learned so much about this young lady. Reading between the lines and seeing the load she’s carried; it’s a wonder she’s not bent under a pressure that’s quite heavy. Henry knows grief as his wife, his best friend has been gone many years now. It’s on his heart to help; yet he’s not sure how. Care giving in this area can come with many blurred lines. Boundaries are important yes but so is sharing one’s story and heart at times. Our story has the capacity to pull another out of darkness; so Henry intends on sharing his story as well as God’s promise. “What’s the plans for the weekend little lady?” Henry asks; “well my grandparents bought a log cabin in Vermont years ago; so I intend on going up there Henry.” “Vermont you say?” “Yes. A long time ago my grandpa surprised his wife with a log cabin she fell in love with.” “The original owner lost his wife; and so he and his son sold it.” What a surprise I have in store!
