That place I’ve always known, home
That light that’s always shone, home
That place that I had grown, home
That life that I had owned, home.
And though those years have gone on by,
and those old bricks are all worn down.
Though the trees are all dead and dying,
and the spark’s gone out of that town.
Even though I’ve moved on since then,
and it’s been years since that nest I’ve flown.
I’ve never forgotten that place I’d been,
that little place I’d called home.
