What, then, is the difference
between excitement and reflection?
One disturbs the mind like wind
rushing across tall grass;
the other gathers itself slowly,
a quiet deepening
where the surface becomes clear.
Both are housed in language,
yet language only shadows their form.
If –ment seems to push outward
and –tion to fold inward,
perhaps it is the mind itself
assigning motion to its own states--
a way of watching thought
watching itself.
