Timing
I want you in my life, so I can’t say,
I need you. I need your light,
To let me see through to the other side,
Of this endless confusion.
You are my goal and my institution,
But intuition fails me daily.
Save me from me, please, just speak to me.
Tell me you need me with you too.
You are my drug,
You could be loved,
If only you would see that we could.
I want permanence,
Not just a while.
You make me smile,
For I love who you are.
We have excuses why we are not in love.
Throw those reasons behind us.
Let’s build this into something good.
I want to show you the real person I am.
Every missed chance is another damn!
I should have said.
These words will be read by strangers,
But never enter your head,
And you will move on because I did not ask.
