It’s crazy how they see
If you skip a class
Or leave dishes on the table
But they miss the fake smiles
The pain behind them
The weight on your heart
You carry everywhere you go
They’ll say out loud
The things you didn’t do
But never ask why
You’re slowly falling apart
Piece by piece each day
When the light in your eyes
Starts to fade away
But no one ever sees
Isn’t it easy to fix all visible
The tasks the grades
But how about the battles inside?
They don’t even make a sound
