In The Troika by Maxim Pederewski

We rode in a troika with sleigh bells,

And lights flickered in the distance.

Oh, if only I could follow them now, well,

To dispel the longing in my soul at once.

Along the long road, on a moonlit night,

With that song that flies into the distance,

And with that old, seven-stringed guitar mine,

That tormented me so much at night with chance

.

Yes, it turns out we thansang in vain,

We wasted night after night lavishly

If we have finished with the old ways,

Then those nights have too  passed slowly.

The days fly, multiplying my sorrows,

It\'s so hard for me to forget the past.

Someday, my dear, from fortune borrowed

You will come to bury me tor a last rest.

Along the long road, on a moonlit night,

With that song that flies into the distance,

And with that old, seven-stringed guitar mine,

That tormented me so much at night with chance.

We rode in a troika with sleigh bells,

And lights flickered in the distance.

Oh, if only I could follow you now, well,

To dispel the longing in my soul at once.
