The year with new dawn

The harrowing days of the year just gone

have ended, we trust, and wait for new dawn

with renewed bang to welcome the new year.

We know very well and quite aware that

Not much has changed, but certainly the date

So let’s change our attitude to brace our fate.

Let’s welcome year Twenty Twenty- six

With a hope, it will not bring more   jinx

The year just gone by, witnessed conflicts

Escalation of Iran-Israel, Russia -Ukraine wars

Bangladesh’s ethnic cleansing of minorities

Gunmen’s frenzy firing in  India and Australia.

With crazy ideas and the cranky numbers

Widespread tantrum of US tariffs

Disrupted global trade and triggered woes

Put the diplomacy with nations on its toes

Let’s Wish the impasse soon belays.

Year Twenty Twenty- five is finally ending

With a gloomy whimper and a forlorn sigh

So let Twenty Twenty-six enter banging

With a note that’s bold, beautiful and flies high.
