Flags

Men used to boast of courage and swagger,
now all they do is flap and stagger.
Most are red flags with such devotion
like signalling ships across the ocean.
Few are trying to be green and serene
but panic if you ask what “feelings” mean.
Some turn beige in a baffling way
neither useful or useless just \"meh\" all day.
Others get tangled around their own pole,
tripping over their ego and losing control.
All are flapping without a clue,
like laundry wondering what it should do.
We built this system and tugged the tag
and reduced every man to just a flag.
The joke is embarrassingly plain
wind makes choices we can\'t explain.
