TIRED OF THE MOON

TIRED OF THE MOON

I’m tired of walking on the moon,
floating through the vastness,
today I’ve come down to Earth.
I’ve swung between the waves,
I’m an astronaut
wandering across the moon.

They say you have to be careful;
when I wake up, I’ll go back to Earth.
For now, I rest between dreams.
I’m so tired of being on the white moon,
surrounded by madmen giving orders,
by fools who shout.

The moon has filled with lunatics
and I no longer know where to go.
The Earth has gone crazy
with its new, insane ideologies,
and meanwhile I grow ever more tired
of being on the moon.

So I’ll come down to explore the Earth;
for now, I dream among feathers.
My pillow is far too soft
to walk between the moon and dreams.
When I return to Earth,
I’ll write poems about how exhausting
it is to wander on the moon.
