A piece of luggage

My Body

I had a way of marking down my life

A tally of everything I did

Harsh scribbles told more stories than my pictures could capture

Still it filled me with feeling nonetheless

I stood there, thin and naked

Mesmerised at my own creation

I never ever seen something so dead before

Hanging off in strands of singed skin

Judgement created a pool beneath my cold body

Although I could feel the pain of it\'s existence, it felt warm and inviting

Reeling me in just to hang me down again

It\'s set itself upon the remains of my skin

Scribing it\'s sickly appearance as a marker

It was both dead and alive, fresh and ugly

Still, I wore it as a message of my life

I let it hang me down until I reached the pool below my warm body
