trembling lips
pleading for kiss
i am not much more
than dust on a book
and yet
when your careful hands
split me open
i rose, shimmering
into the air
a glittering cloud of
dreary, boring
a mess to clean
covering your hands
you laughed
breathed out in relief
as you turned the pages
and found what you need
permeated inbetween
breathless lungs
the essence of me
still stuck
between your teeth
in each of your breaths
i breathe
believe
this is where
i am meant to be
and i swear it, when you smile
i feel it
sluicing through skin
there is no part of me
that does not bathe
in your joy
when
your careful hands
circle my curves
i gasp, shivering
a breathless sigh of
content and shy
rising into the air
a glimmering cloud of
alluring, endearing
no longer fearing
the touch of your palms
here
sparks
stars
and calm
i think i could spend
a lifetime
in your arms.
