In silence they sail along the water,
So smoothly and silently,
Not a sound is made
As they gracefully glide on the river.
Each day I see them in glory
Their silence bringing joy,
Bringing joy to me.
For many years they sail
And in silence every time I see them.
But at the end of their time
Their time on the water,
They make a glorious noise
As they sing their way off this world
And the swansong they sing
Shows them that all is fine,
And will be for me,
When my swansong comes,
Comes to me.
