where i sit and the world moves (day1/30)
i sit on a bench
and let the afternoon pass me.
the river keeps its promise to move,
unbothered by who is watching.
people drift by
faces lit by phones,
hands intertwined with those they love,
children laughing like the day belongs to them.
the water meets itself again and again,
a soft collision,
as if reminding itself it exists.
a ferry crosses the frame,
carrying strangers toward the same place,
their lives briefly aligned.
i stay where i am,
close enough to witness everything,
far enough to remain unseen.
there is beauty in this
learning how full the world is
without you in it.
the river continues.
i let it.
———————————————————-
with shaking hands (day3/40)
no one tells you
how heavy life can get
how dreams don’t arrive gently
they drag themselves behind you
through bills, doubt, quiet nights
and versions of yourself you barely recognize
no one tells you
that starting feels embarrassing
that you’ll think you’re late
that everyone else somehow got the map
while you’re still learning how to read the signs
but here you are
starting anyway
with shaking hands
and a heart that still believes
even after everything
even after you tried to let it go
they say it’s never too late
and maybe that’s true
maybe dreams don’t run on clocks
maybe they wait
patiently
for you to choose them
so you keep going
not because it’s easy
not because you’re fearless
but because somewhere ahead
there is a brighter side
and you owe it to yourself
to at least walk towards it.

performance. (day4/30)
some people don’t lie
they just perform
they smile where it’s convenient
listen only long enough
to wait for their turn to speak
they call it kindness
but it feels rehearsed
like a script they forget
the moment you leave the room
i used to blame myself
for not fitting
for feeling too much
for expecting honesty
now i know
not everyone is meant to be real
some people are just mirrors
reflecting whatever benefits them
i don’t hate them
i just stopped offering my truth
to hands that only know
how to hold masks
