The Velvet

I want to love you

I want to love you,

Like the leaves in autumn to the breeze.

Like the evening birds to their nests,

I want to love you for the winter, and the rain.

You are the blooming lily,

I would always admire out my window.

You are the sunrise with warmth,

I would rise everyday for.

You are the river stream, of the last spring,

In which I would let myself whole.

You are the reverie,

I always want to live for.

I want to love you all my soul,

I want to love you till we are no more.

You are the adventure, the mystery,

I would passionately die for.

I want to love you,

Like a warrior to his sword.

I want to love you,

Like the rebels to their land.

You are like a fawn in a meadow,

Delicate with beauty, careful with charm.

I want to love you,

Like it is the only thing I have.

You are like a panacea,

Remedy for my every wound.

You are a seraphic poetry,

Left an indelible mark on my soul.

There is none in this world,

To express my heart amorously.

Only you are the one — ineffable,

Worthy of it.
