Forezt Fire

Forest Fire

Nocturnal winds of wistful breeze, in the darkness of a nightly dream.

Blow upon the stillness, breath with sudden sight.

Your cold white frost, unto the frozen ground,

Does lie in icy skies and sands till lost, and wonders round and round.

A note perchance, all stained with blood.

Atop the tallest brownest branch.

It perches there amongst the leaves.

And falls with only fleeting chance.

The message long, the words are true,

In sky’s of black, and midnight blue.

Stay amongst the burning fires,

The winds sharp whistle feeds us dyer.

Burning down what once did grow,

That wrought the earth by the deepest blow.

The fires hot will burn to earth,

The forest dead, for life’s rebirth.

The flame is idled and took my hand.

As I fled from this burning charcoaled land.

From sky to floor, the trees no more.

Nor nature in its bloom.

A hell on earth, light by the moon.

Begins the cycle then anew.

Allowing life again to hum its tune.
