The Light Fades in the Eyes of Life

In the quiet hush where shadows creep,
The light once bright begins to sleep.
Eyes that sparkled with dreams untold,
Now dimmed, their stories growing old.

Do not pray for the dead, they say,
For in their silence, they find their way.
A flicker lost in twilight’s breath,
The dance of life meets silent death.

No longer gleams the hopeful fire,
Just embers cold of lost desire.
Yet in that dark, a truth remains—
Though light may fade, it leaves no chains.

For in the eyes where life once shone,
Are seeds of dawn yet to be known.
So when the light goes out, don’t grieve,
For in the night, new dreams conceive.

The eyes of life may close today,
But in their depths, new lights will play.
