BEFORE THE DAWN

Before the dawn
And morning light
I hold a thought
Its centre bright
To remember
Days gone by
The lonely tear
The saddened eye.

Yet idle dreams
Of distant longing
Clouding faces
Still are calling
To centre stage
Of lifes show
The different masks
We all know.

A well known street
A certain door
Screaming still
More and more
Mistakes so foolish
A young mans pride
In age we try
To hide the lies.
