Sixteen feels like an unfamiliar territory
Sixteen feels like it\'s not meant for me,
Sixteen feels like I\'m out of my comfort zone,
Sixteen feels like I\'m in a strange place all alone.
I still haven\'t come to terms with it,
In my mind I let it sit,
I believe it\'s going to take a long time,
For me to believe that the past is no longer mine.
Someone asked my age the other day,
And I almost said fifteen,
I had to stop myself halfway,
I believe im still lingering in between.
I know I\'m still young,
I still have time left,
But , oh god , getting older stung,
This was not something I did expect.
