Acetaminophen
I rarely take it anymore
Unless I am in severe pain
Or a high-grade fever
But in the past, I relied on it to get through my headaches
Eight is the unlucky number
But lucky in my culture
My friend gifted me a whole pack out of kindness
And there was once
A dark, very dark time
I was in severe pain
Not physically, but mentally
I stared at that blister pack
Eight. Just take eight.
And hopefully it all ends
I am grateful I did not give in
Alcohol
Metabolised
Acetaldehyde
Something I turn to when I feel stressed
Know my limits
And do not mix the two
Seek a healthier alternative for the sake of my body
