Onto the stage they came,
All six of them.
Clarinet and trumpet,
Trombone, sousaphone and banjo
And of course, the dog.
They sat on their seats,
The dog lay beside the clarinet player
And went to sleep.
They played their wonderful music
It gave such pleasure to all.
After three quarters of an hour
The dog rose to remind them
That their session was over.
It was so brilliant to see,
To see the guide dog on stage
Looking after his owner
And enjoying the music,
Enjoying it in his way,
His peaceful way.
